The Firm Behind
the Standard
The FFI Standard is an open framework. The Oakworth Group is the advisory firm that delivers the work of meeting it.
The relationship between the standard and the firm
The Founder Financial Infrastructure Standard was created by The Oakworth Group because no such framework existed. It was published openly, not as a product, because a standard only has authority if it is independent of any single commercial interest. Any founder can use it. Any investor can reference it. Any advisor can work against it.
Oakworth's role is not to control the standard. It is to maintain it, expand it, and deliver the advisory services that help companies meet it. The standard defines the destination. Oakworth builds the infrastructure that gets companies there.
What Oakworth does
The Oakworth Group builds and maintains complete financial infrastructure for early-stage companies, from pre-seed through Series B and beyond. Engagements cover financial modeling, cash flow architecture, unit economics, cap table structuring, valuation analysis, probabilistic scenario modeling, departmental financial planning, and fundraising readiness preparation.
Oakworth does not provide accounting services, tax advice, or regulated financial advice. It provides the financial architecture, modeling, and advisory that serious founders need to run their companies and engage their investors with clarity and confidence.
Reaching Level 2 and Level 3
Most companies that complete the FFI Readiness Scorecard and identify material gaps choose to close those gaps independently using the FFI Standard as their guide. For companies where the gaps are significant, the timeline is compressed, or a fundraising process is imminent, working directly with Oakworth produces faster and more durable results.
Oakworth works with a limited number of companies at any time. Engagements are project-based or retainer-based depending on stage and need. All engagements begin with a confidential Readiness Assessment.
